The Belvoir Lakes fishery is located on the stunning Belvoir Castle Estate in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir.
Landscaped by Capability Brown this is a truly inspiring place to fish and only a few miles from Grantham and Melton Mowbray, the fishery is easily accessed from the A52, A1 and A60 Post Code NG32 1LU. (map).
The fishery is made up of two waters; a 12 acre lake known as the Lower Lake and the Small Lake which is ¼ of an acre. The waters are typical estate lakes shallow and silty with a variety of features for the angler to fish to including islands, streambeds fallen trees, bloodworm beds and waterfalls.
The venue is managed as a mixed fishery containing carp to 30lbs, bream to 14lbs, perch to 4lbs, pike to 25lbs, roach to 2lbs and tench to 8lbs. At present the lower lake contains up to 500 carp to 30lbs with the average weight being mid to upper doubles. The fish are young stock and are growing well this year we have had a good number of twenties and mid twenties out. The lake has a number of strains of carp including our scaly fish and the lake will produce some awesome fish in the future.
Rules and Conditions
The common sense rules and conditions have been drawn up to protect and preserve the fish stocks, and wildlife of the reservoir.
Adults £7.00 for one rod and £10.00 for two rods, £15.00 for three rods. Concessions £5.00 for one rod and £7.00 for two rods.
The Carp Ticket
The Carp Ticket gives a limited number of carp anglers access to the fishery during the day and night using three rods. Membership for the syndicate is £300.00 per year. Membership is on a rolling year basis hence you get 12 months fishing from when you join.
